After arriving in Dublin, we headed to the Guinness Storehouse for a nice cold pint. When in Rome...or Dublin, do as the locals do. A detailed tour of the Guinness Storehouse is a great way to learn how the brew is made, poured and consumed. There is an art to drinking Guinness and after learning this stout should be enjoyed in 4 sips (or gulps), we tested our skills in the Gravity Bar while taking in the 360 degree views of Dublin. The mister finished his pint without any problems, but yours truly may need a bit more practice. ;-)
The rest of our day was spent exploring the city of Dublin and wandering through the Glasnevin Cemetery and adjacent gardens. This cemetery dates back to 1832 and tells an intriguing history of the Irish. Over a million Irish are buried in this cemetery including many poets, artists and Irish legends. I highly recommend the guided tour, if you have the time.
